Destiny 2 Review
Destiny 2 ReviewDestiny is the third installment in the best selling game series that begins with Bungie's very popular first game, The First Light. You will remember how the old Sci-Fi military story unfolded, the first hour or so, what happened, and the results of it all. This time around, you play as the protagonist of this sequel. One of the main changes is that you have to fight against a much bigger enemy, now known as The Darkness, rather than the Dark Forces from the first game. It seems like it was easy to bring about this change, since it is the Darkness's attempt to conquer the universe. However, even though there are more enemies in this installment, they all appear much slower than in the first one. The first Darkness game introduced faster and much more dangerous enemies, but there are very few of them in this one.The second biggest change is that you start off with less resources, and you also begin with no ships, no gear, and no weapons. Although your main goal is to r each the middle levels of the game, there are still plenty of things you have to do. As you progress, you are going to encounter some new weapons and other equipment that you need to get, since your regular inventory has already been wiped out by The Darkness. If you can survive long enough, the full gear and all that you got should be available for you.The Third World War has destroyed most of the human population, and now, the whole empire seems to be moving towards a new place. Some parts of the place you can explore, while others are unreachable, especially in the beginning. The bigger part of the empire has been taken by The Darkness, so you may have to face a big difference when you go to the other areas of the game. The most important part of the battle will be you getting back to Earth, because even though you probably won't survive the trip back, you are now a hero in a larger way.Destiny 2 continues with the story from the first game, which has now been converted into two different campaigns, depending on how far you are. For those that have finished the first game, the story should follow the same path as in the first. However, for those that haven't, then you will get to go through a lot of new places, to the regions of Mars and Venus. It is all thanks to the upgraded weapons that you have in the original game, but they will come in handy here as well. You have to choose whether you want to leave the rest of the old quests behind, or if you want to complete them. This time around, the entire story and side missions are dedicated to just this. There are no side quests anymore but there are still plenty of side missions that you can finish, to get some extra experience points or new weapons. There are lots of things to see and do, especially in the more expansive areas of the planet.Overall, Destiny 2 is an excellent addition to the first game, and the greatest thing about it is that you can get it through the complete series. If you have played the f irst game, then you definitely want to play the sequel, because of all the new features and the new ending, but if you didn't, you will still enjoy yourself, while learning the things that make the Destiny series so popular.
